A scintillating 70 minutes saw Charlbury U14s edge a very competitive game vs Bampton Town at Enstone.
Bampton arrived at Enstone having previously being unbeaten in all their games played this season however soon realized that they were in for a battle. With the normal Enstone wind prevailing and Charlbury kicking down hill, the first half was a tense affair with neither side showing dominance.
However after the break, Charlbury got stronger and missed two or three very reasonable opportunities to take the lead. Backed up by the defense that ensure the leagues top scorer never got a shot on goal, the game looked to be heading for extra time when in the very last minutes of the game, doggid determination saw Lewis battle through and bundle the ball over the line.
A richly deserved win, in a hugely competitive game. The final, v Ducklington is scheduled to be played on Tuesday 28th April at 6.30pm at Clanfield FC
