If Carlsberg made girls weekends….

The U11 girls played this week’s match away at Didcot Casuals. Rain had made the pitch quite heavy but the girls coped well with the tricky conditions. The game started well and got better…! Several super moves were built out from defence that resulted in a 3 first half goals…The scorers on the day were Molly White (2) and Molly J. Gracie in goal made 2 first class saves to keep us in the game.

The girls played fantastically well and deserve great credit for the way they continued to play terrific passing football with great goal scoring….! Great credit to Didcot Casuals who played good football and were exceptionally team spirited. Player of the match was Millie following a strong performance in defence throughout…..

Under 16s Grove 1-4 Charlbury Girls

In the OMGFL top of the table clash, Gaby Heath ran riot to place Charlbury in a strong position against top of the table rivals Grove at a bobbly pitch in Grove. After a very tight 20 minutes where Grove started the better, Charlbury got into stride and dominated the game from that point. Gaby scored a deflected goal on 22 minutes and then ran and finished superbly to ensure Charlbury had a 2-0 lead at half time. In the second half, the girls grabbed hold of the game playing all the football in the Grove half and Gaby and Ruby C added to the score before Grove were awarded a penalty with 5 minutes to go. Great effort and the table does not lie!!
